Well, there would seem to be 2 possibilities:
1) It's getting overridden
2) It's not getting picked up
try putting this in your HTML
<style>
.gwt-Button
{
font-family: Courier New;
font-size: 50pt !important;
}
</style>
and see if the !important makes a difference
