You have to send the data to the server and create a URL the browser
should open (e.g. inside an iframe). With the content-type
application/octet-stream and content-disposition: attachment
the browser should open a save-as-window independent from the
real data residing inside (e.g. a text-file).

With Javascript/HTML you can't access the local file-system
or open file-related popups.
