Personally I probably wouldn't have created a Total app, if it doesn't do 
much on its own. Anyways, deferred binding will be gone in GWT 3.0 so if 
you want a bit more future proof then you should use dependency injection 
instead. If you use GWT 2.8 SNAPSHOT then you can also use 
System.getProperty("any-gwt-property") and define the property value on the 
command line in your build script. However note that 
System.getProperty("prop", "default") is not supported nor are 
Boolean.getProperty() and the like supported.

Of course you can also just use deferred binding for now, but you would 
need to revisit it when you want upgrading to 3.0 next year.
