Some more tidbits:

There is a MapRightClickHandler available for the MapWidget to get you started.

You don't get a LatLng in the MapRightClickEvent, but then there is a
method on MapWidget to convert a Point position on the map (pixels
relevant to the map viewport) to a LatLng to create your Marker.
