With a little effort on CSS and images you can make native widgets look
'cool' and 'professional'.I am not against or for a 3rd party widget library
but do you need all the functionality of these 3rd party widget.

I also recommend creating a prototype using native GWT widgets with some
custom widgets built using GWT only.
Then create another prototype using the Gwt-EXT or any library you like.

Compare the usability benefits with an audience. Also test the 'speed' of
the UI of both prototypes. Does it appear to be slow when lots of complex
layouts are used to show a screen?
