You can use arbitrary arguments per-mode, so to add the codeserverPort to 
the codeserver goal add:
<codeserverArgs><arg>-codeServerPort</arg><arg>1234</arg></codeserverArgs>
If you are using dev mode use:
<devmodeArgs><arg>-codeServerPort</arg><arg>1234</arg></devmodeArgs>.
