The ones I hit happened in IE7, FF3, Chrome and probably others. It's not just a quirk of one browser, it's the way the GWT widget is designed. If you set the DisclosurePanel open before you add the widget (provided the DP is attached) then it will work OK in a simple case. If for some reason a panel up the hierarchy is detached while the DP is closed, it all goes wrong again (in my case this was due to menuing).
You can't (well, not in 1.5, I don't know about 1.6) even use deferred commands when you set the panels up because these problem panels use them as well and they will run after yours do. Plus you still have the menuing problem.
