I got this from Sumit Chandel in response to a query about bugs in the plugin:
"We're planning an issue fixit this quarter for issues which are either critical to fix or have been lingering without activity for a while and need a decision (you may have noticed the new q2-2009-fixit labels in the Issue Tracker)" So I guess they'll make the point release after the fixit.
