Can you provide a bit more information on how you're launching the debug session? Is it a remote-debugging session, can you provide some more information about the listening process (the one being debugged) and the one connecting to the listener (which would be in your IDE)? I'm specifically interested in how you're launching both processes.
If this is an in-IDE debug session, and you're using Eclipse, are you making sure that your launching the application using a "Debug" launch configuration, as opposed to a "Run" launch configuration?
