There's been a similar request around for some months now to have hosted mode remember the window's last dimensions. The official position has been that it isn't worth the effort given the impending arrival of OOPHM. This request, while certainly quite reasonable, seems like it would fall into the same "soon-to-be-obsolete" category. Unless perhaps OOPHM has been delayed or someone has time on their hands to do hosted mode updates for 1.6.x.
