Hi, We have a fairly big application (~ 350+ screens) developed on GWT 1.4.6. The application is deployed on i-Planet Web Server 6.0, WebLogic Application Server 10.0 and Oracle 10g as database. All these components are installed on the same Sun Solaris box. The application is currently in Production.
We are encountering the "com.google.gwt.user.client.rpc.InvocationException". The exception occurs intermittently and the user operation returns a failure whenever the exception occurs. Once user logs-out and logs-in again into the application and tries the same functionality the functionality works fine without any exception. GWT documentation suggests that the issue will come only if there is a communication/network failure between the layers. We have following queries: 1. In our case since all the components are installed on the same box the possibility of the network issue between WebServer --> App Server --> Database doesn’t holds good. Please advice what can be the cause of the exception. 2.
