Point well noted, and thank you very much for the reply. We already have the UI with hand coded javascript, i was trying to make use of the GWT features so that the UI can be very felxible and customizable, because we have different set top box with different browsers in the box, like ANT Galio, Opera..etc etc...which makes things a bit difficult.So i thought of using GWT, so that we write one code and all browsers can handle that :-)
As you mentioned it's pretty clear the old version of browser don't have a new javascript engine, which causes the problem, i will see whether we could upgrade the browser in set top box to the latest one.
