No, unfortunately there is no URL to track the status of the plugin, and we're not planning on sending out a beta release of the plugin at this time. You do make a good point though - it would be a good idea to have a public release schedule to properly set expectations. We're definitely planning on doing this; we just want to get a few key releases out the door before establishing a set schedule.
