I'm going to have to say yes :-)
I didn't know Java before I started on GWT. If you have experience of other
curly-bracket languages, Java is not a problem. Programming is about knowing
how to solve problems, not about knowing whether to use 'print', 'echo',
'write', 'sysout', or '>>'.
