you may try to enable pretty-print JS translator output in Eclipse/ Google settings, then look at the problem with Firebug, then file a GWT bug..
also if you use any 3rd party modules/frameworks for GWT, check their compatibility with GWT 1.7 - for example GXT 2.0 is not fully compatible.
