I'm assuming you get to the point where your console states something to the effect of "Listening on port 8000" and stops...
At this point you need to go into eclipse and create a debug configuration for a "Remote Java Application" The defaults should work just fine... Start the debug configuration and your hosted mode server and browser should pop right up.
