We're also using the PagingScrollTable in production. For the most part it's been great. We've restyled things, and added support for drag-n-drop of the columns.
The one issue we've run into (which I have not yet solved) is programmatically setting the values in all the cells of a column can be quite slow in IE. (Sorry, I cannot quantify right now, other than to say...it's slooooooowww.)
