I've developed a GWT-based KenKen puzzle player that has a built-in
solver.

When the solver takes over a second for a solution, it uses a timer to
give the browser time to breathe each second for 10ms.

This works fine for all the browsers except Firefox, which requires
one to move the mouse around to see the progress display and to get it
to refresh.

Try it out at http://interisland.net/johngilbrough/SquareMath. You
might need to try solving the last puzzle "Wicked Nine from Math Mojo
Chronicles" to get it to take more than the one second threshold.

Please let me know what you think.
