Hi Ziyu Huang, You actually do need to "restart" the server after a servlet code change (even in the GWT-only environment.) Perhaps a source of confusion is the definition of "restart"? GWT 1.6 added a new "restart" button to the hosted mode window, which allows you to restart the jetty server running behind the scenes without having to restart hosted mode itself.
