They are not but Eclipse somehow makes it look like that if the war
folder is open. If I close the folder one can see that it the war
folder and both xml files are on the same level.

I fell for the same optical trick when reading the release notes...
I moved them out.

I dont really understand why but putting it in the root folder removed
the warning and I now use HostedMode.
