Man is GWT developing fast! I've been working out of Dewsbury's Google Web Toolkit book, published in 2008, it doesn't cover Handlers or Events, it's already feeling quaint.
Googling "Event Bus" & GWT lead me to this post: http://www.itsolut.com/chrismusings/2009/04/28/business-events-with-gwt-16/ which I hope to follow before it becomes as dated as my book is. The I/O videos are still over my head but I'll try to find the one on the Event Bus.
