I don't have it working with the Google eclipse plugin ... but I did get it working where compilation is no slower than the Google Eclipse plugin and debugging is just as fast (using maven compile target and java app launch config for debugging). I did have to get gwt-maven-plugin 1.2-SNAPSHOT to get it going. I don't have a ready-to-share version ... just as yet. Give me a few days and I can perhaps share the code with you.
