I have a bunch of settings that are installation specific (e.g. database connection properties) that I store in a property file. But where should I put a file like this? I would like it to stay unchanged between two deployments, so I guess the file should not be part of the war-file (because it's installation specific and should somehow just be considered as a static ). The war-file should, at most, contain some kind of template for the property file. But if it's not part of the war dir, how do I then refer to it? I need to know where to find it. So in general: Where do you put installation specific server-side config files (property files)?
