it looks like you're referencing code on the GWT client side that the GWT compiler doesn't support. this kind of problem can be tricky, because it looks like it compiles ok in eclipse. remember that your GWT client packages will end up in the browser as javascript, and so GWT only supports only a subset of the JRE in the com.x.client.* packages.
