You might have a DOM problem that is hiding the DIV you wish to see. I'd recommend you download and install the IE Developer Toolbar from Microsoft. It's like Firebug, so you can compare your DOM on Firefox with that on IE. I was struggling with a CSS problem with IE till someone told of this tool.
