Apple Safari on Windows does have OK listed before Cancel. OS information is part of the user agent, I think. I don't have time at the moment to check to see if it states Mac OS in the user agent on Mac, but Safari on Windows states "Windows" within its User Agent, as does every other Windows-version browser I've tried so far (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera).
You should have no problem differentiating between Windows and Mac OS. I'd think the main issue would be differentiating between Linux Distributions, if you wanted to do so. Hope this helps!
