BTW, every time I make a posting on Google groups, a web hosting company harvests my email id by projecting it from my google groups avatar. I urge anyone who is experiencing this to report that web hosting company to http://ftc.gov/complaints. FTC does no't prosecute per complaint but if enough volume of complaints is received, FTC or law enforcement using that database would initiate investigations.
