Step 1 is trying to get this included in GWT. Numerous people have agreed this should be a feature of GWT, so I'm seeing if I can get the code accepted, as indicated in the post and issue links above. So far no response, we'll see. If it doesn't happen, I may just release a little library with it, but don't really want to propagate yet another little gwt lib to support and maintain, for functionality that for several reasons should be part of GWT.
