If you are in a time crunch, there is absolutely no [point/reason/excuse] to adopt 2.1M1 It's a milestone release; which label means the odds are not in your favor that it's free of show-stopper bugs that can & will affect your project. That being said, you can install 2.1 side-by-side with 2.0. Do you use an IDE? If you use a recent version of Eclipse, such parallel testing is fairly straightforward.
