I had this problem to. I resolved this

            <dependency>
                <groupId>net.sf.jasperreports</groupId>
                <artifactId>jasperreports</artifactId>
                <version>3.7.4</version>
                <exclusions>
                        <exclusion>
                                <artifactId>jdtcore</artifactId>
                                <groupId>eclipse</groupId>
                        </exclusion>
                </exclusions>
            </dependency>
