I made the mistake of doing this:
interface PersonEditor extends Editor<Person>{
Editor<String> firstName();
}
I eventually figured out I needed to use LeafValueEditor.
interface PersonEditor extends Editor<Person>{
LeafValueEditor<String> firstName();
}
My implementation did return a LeafValueEditor. It just wasn't
readily apparent that my interface method needed to declare the more
specific return type.
