Hi You really should give a second chance to GAE:
- space can go very high if you are willing to pay as you go - document upload is possible via BlobStore (I do it in one of my apps) - I would emphasize extremely detailled monitoring for which i know no equivalent by other hosters. Then, you will get scalability for free. The feature that is the most unsual at beginning: the datastore.
