I have now thought a long time about where to call forceLayout... In my case, a widged is positioned relative to its parent widget's size. In IE this layout went wrong, since the parent's widget size returned by getOffset[Width|Height] was not correct. The hierarchy is: Widget -> DockLayoutPanel -> DockLayoutPanel -> RootLayoutPanel Since I resized the browser, I think it's the RootLayoutPanel the size of which changes...
