I see the same failure here.

It looks like Chrome dev version 10.0.612.1 breaks GWT DevMode, but
production mode seems to work ok.

FWIW, this appears to be a Chrome issue (as opposed to WebKit).  The
problem does not occur in the 17 December nightly build of WebKit
(Version 5.0.3 (6533.19.4, r74228)).
