Hi Jerome, Sorry that we've been silent on this issue. We're looking into this problem now. I've updated the issue with a request for some information from those of you experiencing the problem. It would be helpful to us in diagnosing the problem.
Regarding the release notes, we have not done a good job of updating them. We'll improve this process in the future. GPE 1.4.2, as you noticed, did not contain a fix for this specific issue.
