Thank you for your response Jack. I´ve finally decided for another approach. The thing is that I wanted to use the TabLayoutPanel as a main Menu (e.g. a different section per tab), but when I read your comment "This should be typical use case for a TabLayoutPanel", I changed my mind, I considered using the TabLayoutPanel for concrete use cases and not as the Main Menu. Nevertheless, I still think that a common use case could be opening a different tab in the main (center) panel every time the user clicks in a link of the Main Menu, and I don´t know how to achieve this in MVP pattern (using activities and places). If anyone has implemented something similar I would appreciate a comment :)
