Just an update on my situation with this:
-Cleared out my plugins and features directories very thoroughly
(directories and jars) so that all references to my old standalone GWT
Designer install were gone. I also uninstalled anything with a package
name begining "com.instantiations" from the eclipse "already
installed" menu.
-Despite this, the install still failed in the same way.
Therefore, I can back up what others have said; this doesn't seem to
be related to old Window Builder instances.
The install sucessfully copies many of the required jars into my
plugins directory, but seems to miss the ones the installer is
complaining about, for some reason.
I am reluctant at this stage to try removing all previous GWT stuff
from the said eclipse, as I need the older versions of the SDK for
current developments.
