Thanks for response. I'm using CssResource, yes...no reference to the CSS file in the HTML file.
I don't think it is to do with the loadtime in this particular instance... Are you able to use a GWT theme and override styles? I don't think I'm the only one with this problem; I think it's "the way it is"...
