Have you taken a look at the static Event.addNativePreviewHandler method?
Example:
Event.addNativePreviewHandler(new Event.NativePreviewHandler() {
@Override
public void onPreviewNativeEvent(NativePreviewEvent event) {
switch (event.getTypeInt()) {
case Event.ONKEYDOWN:
int keyCode = event.getNativeEvent().getKeyCode();
// .....
}
}
});
