The former. I was looking around in the repository, but didn't see it (them). But I have to admit I didn't spend more than 5 minutes searching. Anyway, the maintenance of the FF plugins has exigent nature that isn't shared by most of the GWT baseline. Can the "relaxed" nature of most Open Source development work with such a time-constraint?
