For external link please use following code
com.google.gwt.user.client.ui.Anchor lAncInvoiceNo = new
com.google.gwt.user.client.ui.Anchor("Google", false);
lAncInvoiceNo.addClickListener(new ClickListener() {
public void onClick(Widget w) {
//TODO--Your code -- Like
Window.open("href://www.google.com");
}
});
