Hi Ed, thank you for your response. I just solved the problem. The cause was the use of the method ListDataProvider#setList(), it assigns the field "listWrapper" to a new instance, and since the ListHandler was initialized with first value of listWrapper, the sortHandler continued to point on a list no more maintained by the dataprovider, that's why the sorting didn't work.
