You cant provide a workaround if you don't know what the error causes.

You should add breakpoints and/or logging to your app to identify the code 
line that produces this error.

I would assume the error is caused by a call like 
widget.getElement().get/setProperty("propertyThatDoesNotExistInIE", value) 
or by calling a JSNI method that tries to access some undefined 
property/functions (probably by GwtExt).
