eclipse is an IDE for writing programs, not a database application. You obtain databse data using some java framework (jdbc, hibernate). Is your program who will retrive data from a database, not eclipse... Then yes, you can show or whatver you like to do with the retrieved data in your program using GWT. Hope that helps
