Carsten, I've not done this myself, but loading image, js, and text files should not be a problem since SOP only limits XHR requests. However, if they have an HTTPS site, and your content is not served from such a domain, they would get warnings.
Of course, you'd best setup a testbed to confirm this functionality before building it out.
