I think you will avoid many headaches with this approach and gain a better 
understanding of how 2.5 works. I also think you are going to have a hard 
time finding people that can remember anything about 1.2. I have been with 
GWT since 1.4 and I honestly can't remember anything about it except it 
except that it was very different then it is today. I mean that version 
existed before smart phones :)
