No. A double click consists of two single clicks. If the browser would only 
give you a single double click event that would mean the browser has to 
wait after a single click to see if a second single click occurs. But this 
in turn means that all single clicks are delayed for a short period of time 
by the browser which can feel bad. This is kind of the same situation as 
with touch tablets and click events. Whenever you tap on a tablet screen 
the click event will be delayed 300ms because the touch device needs to 
figure out if you wanted to zoom-in via a possible double tap.

You have to implement that logic yourself if you need it.
