Hello,

I have a servlet class to upload files to server. It creates the
UPLOAD_DIRECTORY first if it does not exist using the following code:

                File f = new File(UPLOAD_DIRECTORY);

                if (!f.exists()) {
                    System.out.println("entro a mkdir " +
f.getAbsolutePath());
                    try {
                        f.mkdirs();
                    } catch (Exception e) {
                        System.out.println("entro a error mkdir: "
                                + f.getAbsolutePath());
                        resp.sendError(

HttpServletResponse.SC_INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR,
                                "Error: Error creating directory "
                                        + UPLOAD_DIRECTORY + " "
                                        + e.getMessage());
                        return;
                    }
                }

My problem is that if for any reason the directory fails to be created the
code seems not to catch correctly the error.
Anyone can suggest me how to solve this issue?

Thanks,
Anna.
