Personally I would not use GWT-RPC then because you would have to port the 
client side serialization/deserialization of GWT-RPC to Android and maybe 
in the future even iOS if you want a native iOS app as well. So you should 
stick to a more standard serialization that can easily be created/consumed 
by any platform. Normally people choose a REST like backend with pure JSON 
encoding.

In general you could also use GWT RequestFactory which should also be 
useable on Android but I am not sure how easy you can port that to iOS if 
you ever want to.
