Thanks! I got it working. I had to place my version of Collections.java under the directory "src/com/mycompany/emul/java/util". In my gwt.xml module definition file, I added the tag '<super-source path="emul"/>'. I modified my build scripts to ignore everything under com/mycompany/emul and it seems to be working now.
